iJFC is a port of Glenn Rosenthal's excellent Japanese flashcard application JFC to the iPhone and iPod Touch.

As such, existing users can take their JFC flashcard files, transfer them to their iPhone and study on the go.

Generally, JFC files are created in sister program JWPce, although only Windows / PocketPC versions exist at present. For Mac or Linux users, JFC files are really just UTF-8 encoded text files with a little special formatting.

Please note that, at present, only certain parts of the JFC file specification are supported. The original specification is extremely flexible, with a huge amount of permutations. For now, I am only supporting the most common 3-part card format - that is, kanji, kana (both usually in Japanese) and meaning (in whichever non-Japanese language you prefer) - but each new version will hopefully add support for more card types. Please see the iJFCRoadmap for more information.
